Just 15 minutes from the airport

The Boris Becker Academy is located in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region. What makes Frankfurt so unusual in Europe is the city’s constantly growing skyscraper skyline. Some of the striking towers are among the tallest in Europe, giving rise to Frankfurt am Main’s nickname, Mainhattan – a portmanteau of “Main” (the name of the city’s river) and “Manhattan” (in New York).

The Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region is home to around 5.8 million people. Frankfurt am Main is an international financial centre, a key centre for industry, services and trade fairs, and one of the world’s major cities in economic terms. It is home to the European Central Bank and the Deutsche Bundesbank. The city also hosts the headquarters of various national sporting associations, including the Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund and the Deutscher Fußball-Bund.

Thanks to its central location, Frankfurt am Main is a hub for the German and European transport network, with Frankfurt Airport, the main station, and a major motorway interchange. Frankfurt Airport is Germany’s largest, the fourth largest airport in Europe, and the 15th largest in the world. The airport is around twelve kilometres south-west of the city centre.

The Boris Becker Academy is around a 15-minute drive from the airport.
